Every moment counts. You create it, we'll capture it.

First and foremost…

… You may be wondering where the name Sweet Reverie Films came from…

For most people getting married is the biggest day of their lives, something that only happens once, a fairytale for some, a big reason to party for others. A day where your whole family and all of your friends gather to celebrate the love and commitment you have for one another. Weddings do go by in a blink of an eye and it can feel like… a daydream perhaps? or a reverie…

Reverie - noun (a state of having) pleasant dream-like thoughts

Who’s behind the camera

Deciding who to entrust to capture the biggest day of your life and to create a beautiful memento for you to both cherish forever can be a daunting decision, and not one to be taken lightly.

That’s why it’s important for me to speak with my couples on the phone, even during the enquiry stages. It’s as much a chance for me to explain how I work and answer any questions as much as it is for you to get to know me.

With that being said. About Me. My name is Maddy and I absolutely love filming weddings. I started my film making journey making travel videos, even before I could afford professional equipment, back when it was just a hobby. I loved capturing the beauty of different places, cultures, landscapes and telling stories.

From travel videos I began to do corporate work and even a few national racing events here and there. But nothing came close to filming weddings.

If you ask me to explain why, I would struggle. There’s just something about weddings, the pure happiness and love that you can see between two people is just unbeatable. It’s also infectious. bear with me on that one. I say infectious because ceremonies, for example, get me every. single. time. Considering I am a supplier, not a friend, not a family member, nor someone who has known the bride or groom for years and years, but when I get goosebumps from the sheer emotion seen from the groom seeing his bride for the first time, or from the words choked on trying to get the vows spoken; that reason right there is why I love filming weddings.
